The Ceremony
One of our favorite features of Deer Creek Country Club is the beautiful gazebo on the greens. It won't take much to dress up this space, and that's a good thing, because the budget is running thin. First, lets talk about the aisle. Since one of my detail ideas is to do a custom hand painted aisle runner, I decided I wanted to step it up a notch by doing a runner in grey. It will look something like this...
EDIT: Since my first visit to the venue, I found out that they bulldozed the gazebo and put up this arbor instead, so now I have another DIY Project to do!
So I think I want to do a paper flower curtain and hang it over the rafters of the arbor. But, I think I will add little weights at the bottom to keep the strands from floating around too much.
I was still feeling that the space was a bit too plain, so I came across a photo on Pinterest that made me think of a great affordable option that will line the aisle. I had an opportunity to play with some style options when I was last at the venue, and here is the revised chair concept!
And lastly, I'm going to dress up the "pinch" with this beautiful brooch. . .
Other "Accessories"
I also decided to make a custom monogrammed aisle runner which will line the pavered aisle. I think it came out great. I also decided to attach the ribbon wands for our send off (as seen below) to the program and hopefully they'll use at the end of the ceremony as well as the end of the reception. Here are pics of my other ceremony details:
The Actual Ceremony
We have a very small bridal party, so there will not be much going on with the processional. My boss, Dawn, will be marrying us and I've been working on the script for the wedding for some time now. And though we are not doing any ceremonial acts like a unity candle, etc, Matt and I will be saying our own vows which is something very dear to me. All in all, the ceremony should last about 15 to 20 minutes. Wanna see what I've come up with so far? Click below!

Not sure if I am going to do this at the end of the ceremony or at the end of the reception, but I'm doing it, that's for sure. I attempted the DIY of these awesome streamers, but ultimately gave in and just bought them for an amazing price from this awesome etsy seller! So here is the concept of what I want to do. . .
And here are the streamers!
